The MidWeek Market at Old Nick Village opened on the Spring Equinox, 26 September 2012 and our market grows every week. This is a market for locals by locals. We endeavor to supply food which is fresh, healthy, and homemade. The MidWeek Market is a New concept to the Garden Route, a fresh outdoor ‘supermarket’ filled with naturally grown vegetables and fruit, ethically farmed and harvested meat and dairy products and yummy homemade foods. We do it all, as long as it's local, natural, or made with love!
Why in the middle of the week? There are many Saturday markets on the Garden Route. But the fridge runs out mid-week and we are forced to buy commercially grown supermarket produce. Now, with the mid-week market so close to town yet still in a natural setting, we have a choice.
The ethos of our market is clear:
Support local and local supports you, buy it fresh, don’t let your cleaning agents pollute your natural environment, educate on recycling, healthy eating, community living, showcase green energy-effective options for your home.
The market runs from 10am until 2pm. This allows for one to pop in during a lunch break, after dropping off the kids or just when passing by. We have ample, close parking and our Market is easily accessible for wheelchairs and prams and we have helpful hands on standby to help carry groceries to the car for you! We are a dog friendly market, as long as they are on leashes.
